Preparation

Cylinders

•Cylindersmustbesitedawayfromanyheatsource,inawell-ventilatedplaceandmust

standinastableuprightposition

•Neverputacylinderinasewer,culvertorworkhole

•Always,beforeconnectingaregulatortoacylinder,ensurethatthematingpartsare

clean,freefromdirtandundamaged

•Theconnectingnutoftheregulatormustbespannertightenedtothecylindervalve.

(Note:Thethreadisleft-handed)

Regulators

•Thistoolmustbeusedwithasuitablepropaneregulator;thesearenormallycolouredred

•Checkthattheregulatoroutletpressuredoesnotexceedthepressureratingofthistorch

•Checkthattheregulatorhasalargeenoughmaximumowfortheappliance

Hose

•HosemustbetoEN559–2MPawith10mm(3/8”)brassconnectorswithfemaleleft-hand

threads

•ConnectthehosetotheGasInlet(4)ontheHandle(3)andtightensecurelywitha

spanner

•Inspecthoseregularlyandreplaceifwornordamaged

Leaks

•Afterconnectingappliances/regulators,etc.,ensurethereisnogasleakagepriortouse.

Propanehasadistinctivesmellandaleakcanusuallybedetectedimmediately

•Ifaleakissuspected,extinguishallnakedamesandclosethecylindervalve

•NEVERcheckforleakswithanakedame,traceitbysmellandconrmbybrushingleak-

detectinguid(orsoapsolutionsuchaswashingupliquid)overthesuspectedjoint

•Equipmentmustnotbeuseduntilanyleakiseliminated

Operating Instructions

Lighting the Torch

1.Ensuregasisswitchedoffatthecylinderbeforeremovingorttingaburner

2.Connectburnerrequiredtotheconnectionpointatthefrontofthehandle.Tightennut

securelywithaspanner(Note:lefthandthread)

3.Turnongasatthecylinderandchecktherearenoleaks

4.RotatetheVariableControl(2)aquarterturnorsoanticlockwisetoopentheowofgas

5.Lightthegasusingaprofessionalgassparkercloseinfrontofthenozzleoftheburner

6.Oncethetorchpilotlighthasignited,extinguishandremovethesparker

Using the Torch

1.SqueezetheBurnerControlLever(5)toincreasetheameintensity

2.Releasetheburnercontrollevertoreturntheametopilotlight

3.Afterwork,rotatethevariablecontrolfullyclockwisetoclosetheowofgasand

extinguishtheame

4.Turnoffthegasatthecylinder

Maintenance

WARNING:Beforecarryingoutanyserviceormaintenanceprocedures,turnallgastapsoff

anddisconnectthetorchfromthegassupply.

•Fromtimetotimetheburnernozzleandinjectormayrequirecleaning

•WARNING:DONOTcleantheinjectorwithathinsteelwireasthismayenlargetheholein

theinjectormakingitunsafetouseandinvalidatingyourwarranty

• Déballezleproduitavecsoin.Veillezàretirertoutlematériaud’emballageetfamiliarisez-vous

ventiléeetdoitêtrestableetposéeverticalement.

•Nejamaisplacerlabouteilledegazdansunégout,undalotousimilaire.

•Avantdeconnecterundétendeursurlabouteille,toujourss’assurerquelesélémentsdes

raccordssoientpropres,exemptsdepoussièreetenbonétat.

•Labaguederaccordementdudétendeurdoitêtreserréeàl’aided’uneclésurlavalvedela

bouteille.(Attention:leletageestàgauche)

Détendeur

•Cetappareildoitêtreutiliséavecundétendeurpourpropaneapproprié(généralementde

couleurrouge).

•Vériezquelapressiondesortiedudétendeurnedépassepaslapressionnominaledu

chalumeau.

•Vériezqueledétendeursoitadaptéaugazutilisé(etquelegazsoitadaptéàl’appareil.

N’employezqueduPROPANEaveccetappareil).

•Vériezqueledétendeurprésenteundébitmaximalsufsantpourl’appareil.

Tuyau

•LetuyaudoitêtreconformeàlanormeEN559–2MPa(20bar),etprésenterdesraccords

femellesenlaitonde10mmàletageàgauche.

•Raccordezletuyausurl’entréedugaz(4)delapoignée(3)etserrezfermementàl’aided’une

clé.

•Examinezrégulièrementletuyauetremplacez-leencasd’usureoud’endommagement.

Fuites

•Unefoistouteslesconnexionsréalisées(appareil,détendeur,etc.),assurez-vousqu’iln’yait

aucunefuitedegazavantl’utilisation.Lepropaneauneodeurbienparticulièreettoutefuite

seradoncfacileàdétecter.

•Sivoussuspectezunefuite,éteigneztouteammenueetfermezlavalvedelabouteille.

•NerecherchezJAMAISunefuiteàl’aided’uneammenue.Repérez-laàl’odeuretconrmez

votrediagnosticenappliquantunliquidededétectiondefuite(oudel’eausavonneuseoueau

additionnéedeproduit-vaisselle)surlejointsuspect.

•Nepasutiliserl’équipementtantquelafuiten’apasétééliminée.

Instructions d’utilisation

Allumage du chalumeau

1.Assurez-vousquelegazsoitcoupéauniveaudelabouteilleavantderetireroud’installerun

brûleur.

2.Installezlebrûleurvouluaupointderaccordsituéàl’avantdelapoignée.Serrezlabague

fermementàl’aided’uneclé(attention:letageàgauche).

3.Ouvrezlegazauniveaudelabouteilleetvériezqu’iln’yaaucunefuite.

4.Faitestournezlevariateurdedébit(2)d’environunquartdetourdanslesensantihorairepour

permettrel’apportdegaz.

5.Allumezlegazàl’aided’unallume-gazprofessionnelàproximitédel’ouverturedubrûleur.

6.Unefoisquelaammepilotes’estallumée,éteignezl’allume-gazetrangez-le.

Utilisation du chalumeau

1.Appuyezsurlelevierdecommandedubrûleur(5)pouraccroîtrel’intensitédelaamme.

2.Relâchezlelevierpourrétabliruniquementlaammepilote.

3.Unefoisletravailterminé,faitestournezcomplètementlevariateur(2)danslesenshorairede

manièreàinterrompreledébitdegazetàéteindrelaamme.

4.Coupezlegazauniveaudelabouteille.

Entretien

AVERTISSEMENT:avantd’entreprendretouteopérationd’entretien,fermeztouteslesarrivéesde

gazetdéconnectezlechalumeaudelasourcedegaz.

•L’ouverturedubrûleuretl’injecteurdemanderontàêtrenettoyésdetempsentemps.

•AVERTISSEMENT:NEPASnettoyerl’injecteuràl’aided’unldefermincecarcelapourrait

agrandirletroudel’injecteur,cequilerendraitimpropreàl’utilisationetannuleraitlagarantie
